Thank you ♡

Thank you so much to those who joined in with this year’s Kindness Advent Calendar and/or Kindness Advent Calendar for Kids. I hope you had fun spreading a little kindness over this festive season.

Thank you so much for your support this year. It honestly means so very much. I’m especially grateful to everyone who subscribes, and lets me pop up in your inboxes every now and again.

Thank you so much for your comments. It’s always really lovely to hear from you and to hear how much you’re enjoying the Kindness Calendars and spreading a little kindness. It honestly brightens my day, and helps keep me inspired and motivated me to keep going!

As well as spreading kindness throughout our homes, communities, and further afield, let’s remember to be kinder to ourselves as well. We are definitely worth it!

On that note, in order to take care of my mental and physical health, I’m taking a little break in January, and switching off from my screens (including Make Today Happy and Spreading A Little Kindness).

Whilst there isn’t a new Kindness Calendar this month, if you’d like to continue to spread a little kindness in January, you could follow the special calendar I created for lockdown:

Or maybe you’d like to take a look at previous January kindness Calendars: Kindness Calendar January 2020; Kindness Calendar: January 2018; Kindness Calendar – January 2017

Or you could even create your own! For ideas for fun, easy and (mostly) free, kindness acts you can visit my blog at maketodayhappy.co.uk under ‘Kindness Calendars’. Don’t forget to pop in some kindness acts for yourself too!

Wishing you a Joyous January, a safe and happy 2021, and I look forward to connecting with you again for February’s Kindness Calendar.

Warmly, Helen ♡

Kindness Advent Calendar 2020

Hello lovely,

I really hope you are keeping safe, well, and happy as we continue through these challenging times and head into the festive season.

What a year this has been! It has been difficult for so many of us, in so many different ways. Amidst all the challenges, one positive thing that has really stood out for me this year, is hearing about all the incredible kindness acts taking place across our communities, our countries, and all over the world. There have been so many uplifting stories, and often it’s the smallest acts of kindnesses that make the biggest impact.

This may not be the festive season we all hoped for, but I hope it’ll be the best it can be under the current circumstances. I’d like to gently invite us all to make kindness a big part of that – showing kindness to those around us and to those in our communities, and remembering to be kinder to ourselves too!

This month’s kindness act suggestions continue to be lockdown-friendly. They aren’t intended to put your lovely self, or others at unnecessary risk. If you come across any which you feel this is the case, then please do skip it, or substitute with your own kindness act.

If this is your first Kindness Advent Calendar, I’d like to wish you a very warm welcome and thank you for joining us. This works just like a normal advent calendar, but instead of the usual chocolate countdown (which, of course, we can still enjoy alongside this one 😊), we are embracing the true spirit of Christmas by doing 24 random acts of festive kindness.

Every single act of kindness counts, and I’ve made the kindness act suggestions quick, easy and mostly free, so anyone and everyone can join in. Let’s get as many people as we can involved and share this with family, friends, neighbours, work colleagues, classmates… and share over social media.

So, without further ado, I’d like to invite lovely you and yours to join me in spreading a little kindness this month.

Kindness Advent Calendar for KIDS 2020

v

I receive so much positive feedback from parents and teachers about my Kindness Advent Calendar for Kids, I thought I’d create another one this year.

It’s such a fun and easy way for teachers and parents to get children involved in spreading a little kindness in the lead up to Christmas, and a lovely way of showing children what a positive impact they can have on the world.

So here it is…

30 Days of Kindness Calendar

Hello lovely,

Just in case you missed it, I’ve put together a 30 Days of Kindness Calendar, which can be used as this year’s April Kindness Calendar.

In this current climate of social distancing, nearly all of the kindness acts can be carried out without interacting directly with others, and from the comfort of our own homes.

You can read more about it and download if for free here: 30 Days of Kindness.

Please let’s remember to be kinder to ourselves, especially during these uncertain times… we are definitely worth it!

Thank you so much for spreading a little more kindness.

Please take care and stay safe,
Love+hugs, Helen 💚

30 Days of Kindness

Hello lovely,

Kindness is so powerful, and it’s during these difficult times, that we see our communities coming together and performing the most beautiful acts of kindness. We are already seeing many heartwarming examples of this all over the world.

I’ve put together 30 Kindness Act suggestions to help us show kindness towards ourselves and others during this challenging time. This Kindness Calendar is a little different to the usual monthly calendars, in that nearly all of the kindness acts can be carried out without interacting directly with others, and from the comfort of our own homes.

These suggestions aren’t intended to put your lovely self, or others at unnecessary risk. If you come across any which you feel this is the case, then please do skip it, or substitute with your own kindness act. As things are changing day-by-day, it’s important to keep up-to-date with and follow your Government/World Health Organisation‘s guidelines and stay safe at all times.

I’d like to invite lovely you and yours to join me in spreading a little kindness during this challenging time, but only if you are able.

Please let’s remember to be kinder to ourselves, and show ourselves lots of love as well, we are definitely worth it!

Kindness Calendar February 2020

Hello lovely,

I’d like to invite lovely you and yours to join me in spreading a little kindness this month.

We have a fantastic opportunity to spread a little extra kindness this month. Random Acts of Kindness Week runs from the 16th-23rd, and on Monday 17th February, we celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day. Help us spread the word, and create an even more powerful ripple of  kindness.

As you will see on this month’s calendar, I got a little carried away with pink, especially with the border I so enjoyed painting ☺️.

And so, without further ado, here it is:
