Being kind by hiding a message inside library books:
Today’s happy is short and sweet and happy.
I wanted to leave messages inside a couple of library books I was returning for the next reader to find.
On the back of my Kindness Cards, I wrote: You are in incredible person. Have a lovely day.
I decided to write my blog address on the back too, just in case the finder is intrigued to visit. Wouldn’t that be the cherry on the cake.
But again, I let go of all attachment to the outcome. My intention is what counts: to make someone smile.
So with this in mind, my happy for today is being kind by hiding a message inside a library book.
Hi. Did you put the second card in a book called Little Lies? I found it in a book from West Brigford Library. Thought I might go looking through your website. I’m battling mental health issues so it was nice to get a kindness card. x
Hello lovey Rebecca 🙂 Yes, I did!! I’m so happy you found one of my kindness cards and I’m thrilled you’ve visited my blog, thank you. You are the first receiver of my kindness cards to get in touch, and I really appreciate that. How wonderful. Big hugs Xxx
Tweeted it! But, psst, you could use some nice lil sharing buttons to make it easier 🙂 Check out the sharing settings section on WP.
Wow you are a superstar Jools, thank you 🙂 I don’t have twitter or the like, and I’m not that active on Facebook… it’s all a bit foreign to me, but I will have a wee lookie into it
Oh you don’t need to have accounts on either. Just turn the sharing buttons on, so others can share your posts. (If you’re bothered about that, you might not be!)
All done. Thanks Jools for your awesome help 🙂
Ah I see, it’s not about connecting it to my (non-existent) accounts, but giving my lovely readers the option. Hope I’ve done it right?! Thanks for the top tip Jools 🙂
What a lovely idea! Course if it was me I’d be tempted to mess with their heads a bit. My notes would probably be along the lines of ‘oh, your hair looks different today, have you had it done?’ or ‘I’m very comfy here, just lying under your bed. Don’t even mind the creaking springs. Sleep tight now!’ :))
🙂 That did make me chuckle dear Jools…
I love this idea – how wonderful would it be to find this note randomly one day! ❤️❤️❤️ Am definitely going to do this!
So pleased you like this idea my lovely. Yay for the kindness ripple effect 🙂
What a great idea, I’m going to ripple that forward given your inspiration Ms Helen. Thanks 🙂
Yay for the ripple effect 🙂
